KELSO's Story
KELSO - Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees (with a dash of St. Bernard?), male, 100 lbs. Kelso was a stray from the streets of NYC who came in to Peppertree in poor shape with pneumonia and hair loss. At the time his age was estimated to be 10 years. He has since made a full recovery, and we believe he is younger, perhaps 7 or 8. He is the proverbial gentle giant and extremely good-natured. Kelso is very good with other dogs, although may resist if one wants to take a particularly prized toy out of his mouth, but we have discovered that he is a bit too interested in cats to live with one. He loves people, loves to be petted, loves to ``lean`` on you, and enjoys simply hanging around the house. He has excellent house manners and has no problem with stairs - other than extremely long legs! He is good in the car, fully housebroken and good on a leash. He has no issues with children, although due to his age we would only place with children 12 and older as Kelso appreciates a quiet environment.

Or visit our site (http://peppertree.org/adoptlist.php) and learn about other Peppertree dogs. *Note: visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
