*CHANCE's Story
Please give Chance a chance! He is very sweet and shy. Give him a little time to warm up to you. Once he trusts you, he becomes very affectionate, rolling for belly rubs and giving kisses. He likes other dogs too, and would probably be happiest in a home with another very well-mannered dog to show him that life is not so scary after all. Chance has been adopted a couple of times and returned. In his first adoptive home, he was frightened of the baby, and in the second, he was afraid to get into the car. His owners returned him each time because his fear frightened them (he growls and nips if you frighten him). Chance needs a calm, quiet, patient family that can devote their time to understanding him, who won``t force him into stressful situations, and will give him time to adjust to his new surroundings that will be, at first, a little scary for him.
