Deja's Story

**Deja is currently being fostered in HOUSTON. She is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. Her adoption fee is $500, which covers her flight to her new family, a travel kennel, and she is fully vetted.**

Deja is about a year old and is full of energy! We met Deja at our local city pound and knew we had to get this stunning girl out of there. Her ears have been cropped so badly that there is not much left but she is still a gorgeous girl! The first night this girl arrived at her foster home she jumped in the pool 3 times! She must love to swim because the water was cold!

Deja would be best in an adult home or home with older children. She is very sweet but doesn’t realize how rough she can be at times. She loves attention and plays with her mouth by grabbing your sleeve. She does not do this in a mean way, just playful but it could scare or hurt a small child. She lives with an 9 year old boy at her foster home but she is always supervised and corrected when around him. She craves attention and wants nothing more than to be by her human’s side. Even if that means laying on a rug while they are on the couch watching tv, she is perfectly content.

Deja has been introduced to dogs of all sizes but she plays very rough and often upsets the other dogs. She has been with a trainer for a month and showed no aggression towards anyone. She played with other dogs but is VERY rough and would do best as an only dog or in a home with a very experienced handler. She is leash and crate trained. She knows Sit, Heal, Here and No. She is a very focused dog.

This “pocket pittie” is about 35-40 pounds. She knows “Sit” & “Kisses” in English & Spanish. If you are looking for a spunky sweet and sassy girl, then look no further!

Heartworms are very common in the strays found in the Houston area because they are transmitted by mosquitos, which are also very common. Unfortunately, Deja has heartworms, but has started her treatment to be cured of them within the year and her medications are included in her adoption.

Deja is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and doing very well in her foster home. She is ready to find her family to complete her transformation. If our little girl sounds like a perfect match for your family, please fill out the application by visiting our website, www.reggiesfriends.org, under the Adoptables tab or email us at [email protected] for more information. Her adoption fee is $500 to help cover the cost of her airline flight and her travel crate.
