Daisy's Story

**Daisy is currently being fostered in Houston. Her adoption will be out-of-state, which means, unfortunately, meeting her prior to her adoption will not be possible. Her adoption donation is $500, which covers her flight, a new kennel, and of course she is fully vetted. Because flights are so expensive, the adoption fee is non-negotiable.**

Daisy came to us from a local shelter where she, like so many other pups in Houston, came in as an unwanted stray. She was a small, scared girl and the shelter environment was a difficult experience for her. One of our amazing fosters saw her posted on the shelters site and asked if we could make space in the rescue for this beautiful little girl. We were excited to help be the first step in saving her life and getting her to what we loving call her Street Life to Sweet Life!

Daisy is a roughly 6-month old Chihuahua mix who is very sweet and loving. She loves to lounge in the sun and to hang out with her foster family. She is currently being fostered by a family that has another dog and she has been the perfect house guest and friend to her foster fur sibling. Daisy has been doing very well with her house training. Since she is still young, her ideal family will be one that is patient and understands that she still may have an accident or two as she acclimates to her new surroundings. We are seeking a family that is patient and will focus on positive reinforcement training to help Daisy continue her growth and development.

Daisy’s ideal family will be one that understands the needs of a small breed dog and will be committed to continuing her basic training and helping her to become an amazing adult dog and family member. Daisy’s size makes her suitable for living in an apartment or condo setting. She loves being around other dogs, but would be great as a solo dog as long as her new family remains committed to continuing her dog socialization. Daisy loves kids and would be a great addition to a family with children who have been taught how to be loving and gentle with small dogs.

Daisy is healthy, happy, and ready to tell rescue life goodbye. Daisy has been fully vetted (vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped). She is heartworm negative and has been on preventatives since coming into rescue. She has no known health or allergy issues.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application. This can be done through our website at www.reggiesfriends.org – if you hover over the “adoptables” tab, the link to the application will appear.
