Planets: Pluto's Story
Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, July 2nd and Sunday, July 3rd from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
The Planet litter will not be at any scheduled events until we find a home that`s interested. Please fill out an application if you think that`s you!
The planet litter is 8 weeks old. There are 4 girls and 4 boys. They are already 15lbs+. The Dad is a King size GSD. He is well over 100lbs. Mom is about 60lbs GSD/Aussie mix. These are going to be large size dogs when full grown. They are all happy go lucky puppies who get along with everyone. They`re friendly from the word go. They are very sweet and loving. They`re such cuddlers and snugglers. They are very social and their home did a great job of raising them.
The owner of the mom of this litter told us that this was an accidental litter as she never intended to breed her dog. She is now getting her Momma dog fixed with our assistance. She actually took her female to doggy day care and the male was there and well, now there are puppies...So, no more puppies from this mom or from this litter at all. Everyone gets spayed/neutered.
This litter is now being fostered in a home with dogs. They are also fostered with a litter of kittens. Yeah, that would be the foster that had a litter of 8 kittens as well. Can you say an absolute houseful of puppies and kittens! So they`re going to be well socialized with other animals.
We will only consider homes that have had a dog of their own in the last 3 years. (Sorry this does not include living in parental homes with their dogs). We will consider homes who have children over the age of 8.
**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)
**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
