Sherlock D5098's Story
Sherlock was rescued from a crowded shelter. He is smart curious confident and gorgeous. Super people friendly alert snuggly and loves attention but he needs a leader to guide him. He can get anxious and nervous (Llasa personality). He is good with other small dogs with proper introductions on leash but he wants to be the top dog (alpha) at home especially with other male dogs. He did well with other dogs during our testing and on walks. Loves walks & socializing. He needs adult very experienced guardian only. Sherlock is sensitive and needs the guardian to be his leader with confidence (he will sense anxious/nervous person) and tell him what to do vs coddling (he will get confused). Guardian must be confident and guide him. He was leary and fearful of young kids (will nip). At home he likes to follow person around but does not like his face petted and will nip. Sherlock needs access to yard or walk for mid-day potty break. Small dogs have shorter GI tracks so often cannot hold after big breakfast. He needs daily exercise and someone home more or someone that can consistently give him a mid-day break. With our volunteers he is friendly walks well on leash and listens. Will snuggle in our laps (both women & men) and is affectionate. Sherlock wants to bond to confident person who will guide him and he will listen. Smart. He needs experienced quiet adult home and NO KIDS.
