Lucy is a nine-month-old 14 lb. Corgi-Chihuahua mix puppy who was rescued as part of the South LA Shelter intervention program. This impish little girl has a HUGE personality! As a young dog, Lucy is house-trained with a doggie dog, she`s learning to walk on a leash, and loves being in a crate when her people are not around. Lucy lives with two big dogs and loves to play. She will do best in a home with another calm and reliable dog or two who will continue to mentor her in the ways of the world. Lucy will also do well in a home with older dog loving children. She needs a confident and calm person who will continue to teach and encourage her. She loves to play ball and will play with toys on her own; she is also a great lover of fetch and will run tennis balls for hours! She is a good listener but can also be rather independent; she`s known to seek out a lap during evening TV. In keeping with her Chihuahua-Corgi roots, Lucy has a voice and she may not be suited to apartment living. She is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all of her shots.
