Flex was raised, loved and cared for by an older gentleman named Jim. Sadly, Jim is very ill and has entered hospice care. There's nothing we would like more for Flex than for Jim to know that his loving companion will be cared for by a caring human for the rest of his days.Jim is a very nice, kind, older gentleman who did service work on equipment at a warehouse in Tustin. He would bring Flex with him on his service calls and the employees at this business became very good friends with Jim and Flex. Flex became the warehouse 'mascot' and would get all kinds of love from the employees while Jim worked. When Jim didn't show up for work one day, one of the employees from this business named Roger contacted Jim's family and went to visit him in hospice. He asked where Flex was and learned Flex was in the shelter. He contacted the shelter and was told Flex was on his last day. Roger made immediate plans to rescue Flex in honor of his friend Jim.Unfortunately, Roger lives in an apartment that doesn't allow pets, but upon hearing this story his landlord agreed to allow Roger to temporarily keep him if a rescue would help find him a forever home. Flex is a great companion and very loyal to his owner. He will bond quickly to the person who can open their heart and home to him.Could you be the loving home for Flex so Jim knows before he passes that his loyal companion will be cared for the rest of his days?
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
