Buster's Story
If you're looking for a small/medium breed puppy, short hair and even shorter legs - look no further, these pups are here to steal your heart. These babies are squatty, little long bodied, with chunky, small paws. Buster is the biggest of the litter weighing at a whopping 12 lbs! Buster, Cookie, Ellie, Abe, Gordie, Dottie, and Fritty are looking for their homes! These puppies are about 9.5 weeks old, weigh between 5-11lbs and are about as fun as can be! Mom is a long haired spaniel/dachshund mix and dad is unknown. Mom weighs about 30 lbs and we don't believe these pups will get bigger than that. This litter of 7 is as socialized, friendly and SOOOO loving! They have been in foster care since a little before 6 weeks old and therefore have had lots of human interaction making them the friendliest of puppies. They have worked on house training and with consistency, will have no issues learning. When they're not running around and playing with their toys, they're napping. These puppies love to nap. They are currently fostered with other large dogs and they LOVE other dogs. They would thrive in a home with them to learn from. The puppies are the cutest when the foster is home as they follow her around like little ducklings. Where she goes, they go. They are your shadows. These low riders would be wonderful around children, other dogs and all ages and sizes of people. If you're looking for a fantastic dog for a first time family dog, or just a companion to add to your life and family, these puppies are perfect. All adoption fees current negative hw test if old enough, current age appropriate vaccines including rabies, parvo/distemper, lepto, bordatella, current heart worm and flea/tick preventions, lifetime registered microchip, 2 dewormers and transport costs from Texas to the East Coast. PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: Www.ruraltank.org/adopt We process applications as first come, first serve so we suggest you fill out an application as soon as possible as we can receive quite a few per animal. If you submit an inquiry that questions something answered in this bio, we will not respond due to high volume of inquiries. ALL OF OUR ANIMALS ARE LOCATED IN SOUTH TEXAS. They are posted in areas where we transport to ONCE ADOPTED. 95% of our animals are pre adopted prior to transport, if you want to do a meet and greet with an animal in person we suggest going to a local shelter as we probably will not be able to offer that. Once approved though us, we will put you in contact with the foster family that has your animal to learn more about them! We transport every few weeks, TBD. Application turn around is usually about 1-3 days max, if not sooner. After you submit an application and want to send additional information or pictures of current animals/past ones in a separate email, we love that and it always helps your chances :)
