Avalon's Story
Let me introduce myself! I am Avalon. I am a very sweet and affectionate, five-year-old miniature goldendoodle. I love cuddling, resting my head on people, and being petted. I might be a little shy at first, but I'm still getting used to living in a house and all of the interesting things in here. There are so many things to learn about and different noises that I'm not used to. I love running around the yard and playing with a ball. I also enjoy the company of other dogs. I was rescued from a commercial breeder so I am still learning some dog manners, how to play with toys, and how to walk on a leash. I am crate-trained and I am excellent with pottying outside. I have not had any accidents in my foster home! My foster mom is super proud of me. I am looking for a family who is patient and understanding, who is able to help me learn about living in a house, and who is committed to proper training including leash training. I prefer a fenced yard so I can run around safely but am used to being on a lead outside too. Since I get a little startled by loud noises, it is probably best for me to be with an adult only or a home with older children at least 12 years old. I am up to date on all of my vetting, spayed, and microchipped. I did test positive for Lyme, so I am taking some antibiotics to get rid of that. My foster mom says I'm very good about taking my medication. She puts it in a pill pocket and it's delicious! If you are selected as Avalon's potential home we require a meet and greet prior to adoption.
