Rickey's Story

Meet Rickey! Rickey is you typical lovely puppy, full of life and a lot of fun! He is about 14 weeks old, 19lbs, and a lab mix. He is currently fostered in Huntingtown, MD. Rickey grunts and groans when picked up, because he just loves it so much! He bonded with his foster mom quickly and follows her inside and outside the house. Being near people is most important to him! Rickey is a little dancer that is always carrying a toy and wagging his whole body. He is constantly seeking attention and wants to be noticed. Rickey is full of puppy energy and loves to play! He will make a great hiking companion and will provide unconditional love! If you'd like to adopt Rickey, please fill out an application on our website: www.puppypawsrescue.org If you're not ready to adopt but would like to learn about fostering, please send us a message to get started. We are always looking for fosters! Please Note: 1. You must have a dedicated private space for potty and outdoor exploration. Puppies often need additional immunizations before they are allowed to walk in public spaces. 2. Unless an existing good vet record exists, we will not adopt to anyone further than 1 hour drive from listed location. We need to be in close proximity to adopters when we need to follow up on vaccinations and spay/neuter. 3. Pup cannot be left alone for more than "4" hours at a time. This is necessary for comfort breaks and much needed socialization for a pup this age. 4. We will not adopt this dog out to homes with toddlers younger than age. This puppy is still a bit mouthy and nippy which isn't a good mix with young children. If interested in adopting please fill out our no obligation online application at www.puppypawsrescue.org Note: Our rescue requires that all adopter's current and prior animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (DHLPP & Rabies) and preventatives (heartworm and flea and tick), unless there is a medical reason not allowing it. All animals in your household should be spayed or neutered unless medically indicated that they should not be or are currently still too young.
