Hopper's Story

*****We are Good Catch Dog Rescue. The dogs in our care are fostered by either ourselves or close friends. We are in Texas, and we transport our dogs North because TX is flooded with unwanted dogs already. All of our dogs are vaccinated and on preventatives. Dogs older than 6 months are spayed or neutered. Our dogs live with us, not in boarding, and they are part of our family. Please visit our website to learn more about our family and our dogs. Goodcatchdogrescue.org***** Hopper, his momma and siblings were all found by a good samaritan after being abandoned in the middle of the country late one night. His Mom (Betty) is a Pug/Chi mix and came running up to their stopped car. This little family of 5 came into our care the following day. Hopper is only 4 months old and 10 pounds. He'll be less than 15 pounds full grown and has proven to be the most cautious of strangers out of his 3 other siblings. He warms up quickly when he's held and loves kisses and pets. He's a huge fan of squeaky toys and plays keep away with his brothers and sister throughout his day. Hopper is well on his way to being housetrained. During the day, the puppies have their own yard and access to a room where they can nap and eat. At night they stay in a pen in the kitchen. They prefer to go potty outside and will improve with age in signaling to go out. Hopper is fully vaccinated. He is current on prevention and received a clean bill of health from our vet when brought in for his rabies vaccine. He's microchipped and ready for his next chapter in life! A home that welcomes the energy of a puppy AND a chi mix is desired. Hopper doesn't need a big yard, but he loves his outdoor time. He'd do well with children old enough to know how to handle a puppy. He barks at the cats (and big dogs) but we know he wouldn't hurt a fly. This rescued pup is ready for his forever family and will bring joy to your heart. Our fee to adopt is $350 and the cost to transport is an additional $300. We only use trusted transport partners to deliver our dogs from Texas to the North.
