Max's Story
Apply to Adopt Me! I'm Max and I'm a 12-year-old, 16-lb. poodle who's fun-loving and affectionate! I just want to be close to you. I play catch with a tennis ball or stuffed toy and will chase squirrels out of your backyard as I patrol the perimeter. I'm house trained and am great on brisk walks, never pulling and not fearful of other people or dogs. I sleep well through the night in my own bed on the floor next to my foster mom and my fur sibling, a 10-lb. senior Miniature Pincher. My fur sibling is a bit standoffish but I like little dogs so we get along fine. I'd love to sleep in the bed cuddled up to you too if allowed. I'm pretty mellow and relaxed throughout the day, sleeping most of the time but I still have bursts of playfulness. Sometimes I bark a bit when left home and may have a little separation anxiety, so it will be good if my forever family is home most of the time. I have been known to get into the trash and shred tissues so my foster mom thinks it's a good idea to keep the bathroom doors closed when she's not home. I don't bark at the doorbell or in response to other dogs barking. I haven't been around cats so I may or may not like them. My hair was a mess and was cut short recently so I like to keep my sweater on or lay in a sunny spot but when my curls grow back in I'll be very happy and super handsome. I currently take hip and joint supplements and need a recheck of my liver enzymes since they were slightly high at the vet visit. I have so much love to give and I can't wait to find my forever home. If you have a calm, all-adult household, live in the Orlando/Central Florida area, and think you have the perfect home for Max, please complete an application and tell us more about you.
