Sonny's Story
4/8/24: Applications are now open and foster to adopt homes are needed! We were contacted last week by a local family that had an oops litter from their two dogs and the puppies were really starting to grow now that they were 4.5 months old. Momma was a ~20# Pug and dad was a ~25# Puggle, both on site and very sweet. They wanted to be sure they would be vetted and go to good homes, so they reached out to us for help. How could we say no? These babies are a bit shy at first but warm up pretty quickly and are like little wind up dogs! Puggles are little comedians and are guaranteed to put a smile on the faces of all who meet them. We know they will go to homes quickly so if interested, fill out an app today and don't forget to call your veterinarian's office to give consent for us to do the reference check since not doing so, could put your application at the bottom of the list! Everyone meet Sonny, Luna, Apollo, Soleil and Ray our Eclipse Puggle litter! Due to their current age, size and energy levels, foster to adopt requirements are: -Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY to continue their vetting until they can be spay/neutered. -Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered. -Since they are puppies, they should be ok in homes with dogs and dog savy cats. -Due to their current size and disposition, we are looking for homes with children over 10 years old. -Willing to have current dogs/family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match. -Having time available to care for, socialize and start training of a new pet. Preference will be given to homes with previous dog experience and a fenced yard. An adoption donation of $475 is being asked when they are spay/neutered and officially adopted, but fostering is free!! They have been vet checked, vaccinated, treated for intestinal parasites and started on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All they lack now is you! We get dozens of emails and phone calls each day with only an hour of "free time" to volunteer and answer them around our full-time jobs and family life...don't let your inquiry get passed by because of an incomplete application. We are looking for foster to adopt homes within an 80 mile radius of Pulaski, NY and pets must be viewed in person by all family members prior to adoption; animals will not be shipped to their new homes.
