Vega's Story
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Meet the Galaxy Litter! Aurora and her 7 puppies ended up at the county shelter in Houston, Texas. The crisis has been so great, that even families have had a hard time getting out of the shelter alive. They were rolled from the euthanasia list 8 times before someone was able to help them! Vega, 9 weeks (estimated DOB 3/1/2024), female, Pitbull mix, expected to be a medium size dog when full grown. She is in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS and can transport out of State once an adopter is approved. Vega is an energetic puppy who loves to run around with her siblings. She has figured out how to push through her puppy pen and run throughout the house! She is working on potty training, but that will need to continue into an adoptive home. She has not spent time crated. We would love to see another dog in the home who can help her continue to socialize. If no other dog in the home, please tell us on your application how she will spend time with other dogs. She has been around kids and want to note she has those sharp puppy teeth. We recommend a home with kids who understand and respect animal boundaries. Puppies bring a lot of joy and happiness to a home. We are looking for adopters who understand the commitment to training and understanding different developmental needs a puppy journeys through until adulthood. *Picture of mom also included in the pictures* Puppies under 6 months of age are placed on a spay/neuter contract until they are old enough to be altered. For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her?
