Dove's Story
*WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics. My name is Dove, 8 months old terrier mix. I’m a gentle sweet girl that loves to cuddle. I’m good with kids and other dogs. I’ve become my foster dad’s shadow; he can’t even get off the couch without me missing him. I am an expert companion dog but I do have some separation anxiety. I do well in my crate but will cry when you leave and will need to have some training to learn you’ll always come back for me. I'm pretty good with going potty outside but like to be indoors, I'd make a great apartment dog. I'm fine in the car and sleep through the night. I love sleeping under covers and being near humans. If you want a dog that will sit by side for hours i’m your girl. I just want to be loved. Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $350. Dogs over 2 years old are $250. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
