Her journey began at the shelter when her mom arrived as a stray, ready to give birth. Maya and her 7 siblings were born healthy and strong, thanks to their brave mama, a dachshund/pitbull mix weighing approximately 30 pounds. We anticipate that Maya and her siblings will also grow to be medium-sized dogs. Maya is a playful and affectionate pup who loves spending time with her siblings, playing with toys, and snuggling up for some quality cuddle time. Her sweet and curious nature makes her a joy to be around. Eager to learn and grow, Maya is looking for a family committed to helping her with her training and providing the guidance she needs. Currently, she is flourishing in a foster home and is ready to find her forever family. Maya is in a foster home in Fort Worth, Texas. OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR COLORADO BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Colorado. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
