Lavender's Story
AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY. Meet Lavender! Lavender is a 1-2 year old female schnauzer/terrier mix of adorableness mix and she weighs about 12 pounds. Lavender arrived in rescue after arriving at animal services from a home with too many dogs where they were unable to properly care for them. She is happy to have kind humans in her life and is ready to find an understanding forever home to call her very own! Her foster mom says: Lavender is a sweet girl, who is playful and very smart. She listens to commands well and already knows how to sit pretty when it’s dinner time. She is timid and scared when meeting new people. She is also very protective of her human. When she gets scared or protective she will nip the new person if given the opportunity. She needs time to get comfortable around new people. She is good with other dogs and should have a buddy. Her buddy should be one that is not in her face. She likes her space. We are not sure about cats. She doesn’t bark much unless she is playing with, hears or sees other dogs. She is really fast and loves to run around in the yard. Lavender is new on the leash but loves to go on walks. She is getting better with every walk. She likes to play in the garden hose and rain. She is not 100% house trained, but we are working on it. She will need someone who has patience and someone who does not have a lot of people coming and going in the house. Lavender is spayed, up to date with vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned. Lavender is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $300. Thank you!
