Ricky's Story
Ricky is currently experiencing medical issues and is not yet ready for his forever home. It may take up to a year and specialized surgery to resolve his condition. He may require a special diet and medication for life. In addition, Ricky has mild epilepsy so will need a home that is experienced with this condition.
==========================================
Weighing in at 65 pounds, Ricky is a sizeable Dalmatian, and he has a very big heart to match. An extremely handsome boy, he sports a “patch”—a large velvety black spot that runs across his ear and over one side of his face. Because they are so cute, patched Dals are always the most popular pups in any litter, and the first to find new forever homes. Ricky is no exception to the rule.
He was originally rescued at the age of two, and is now five years old, coming back to Save The Dals when his adoptive family could no longer keep him. Naturally, he is housebroken, has all his shots and is neutered. Affection is his middle name and he loves to play with toys, or even better, his owners!
While Ricky is not suited for a household with other dogs or cats, and needs an experienced Dal owner, he makes up for all this by begging to be a “One and Only,” the special baby in his new parents’ lives. As he had no experience early in his life with small children, he wouldn’t be a good fit in a household with young ones. Suffice to say, Ricky is an affable dog who offers the extra bonus of being very well-behaved and obedience trained as well. Give this beautiful boy a chance to love you. You will love him right back!
