Teena - Seeking Sponsors's Story
We are seeking sponsors for Teena while she waits for her perfect home. She must have an owner who is experienced with the positive training techniques she has already undergone by a behavioral professional, such as clicker training. Teena is shy and a fear biter with strangers.
This little girl is an exceptional sweetheart, once she knows and trusts you. We named her Teena because she is such a small cutie pie, but she has a big Dalmatian grin that will win you over in a second. Picked up as a stray by the Harbor Shelter in San Pedro, she was on her own after her owner did not come to reclaim her. Save the Dals came to her rescue and we are so glad we did. Once used for backyard breeding, Teena is now free of that exhausting burden, having been spayed. Affectionate with anyone who will give her a stroke and a pat, she is also extremely trainable. Nose work could be a great addition to her repertoire. Teena needs a lot of exercise and would make a great partner for someone who likes to jog.
Being shy, she also needs a companion who does not shrink from working with a shy dog and her particular needs—someone who will really bring her out of herself and into her own. A home with no other pets and no children would be the perfect match. Around five years old, she is micro-chipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Come and meet Teena. She just might be your forever girl!
